The principal function of ground calcium carbonate (GCC) is as a filler in a diverse range of end use.
GCC is used as a calcium additive in the animal feed industry and the pharma industry, It is also used as a filler in a vast range of materials such as cement, rubber, plastics, paints, asphalt, silicone sealants, tile adhesives & grouts. It is used in a range of household cleaning products for its abrasive properties. It is even used to for animal bedding as it is very absorbent and has antibacterial properties. It is unquestionably a very versatile material with usage rates growing steadily worldwide for the last number of years and that trend is expected to continue.

Agricultural Lime
Agricultural lime is a tried and tested way for regulating the pH level in soil. More than 60% of land in Ireland needs pH regulation.
Liming may be carried out at any time when ground conditions are suitable to do so. For arable land, lime is usually applied when the land is available after harvest.
